This interactive course will explain the basic principles of Good Distribution Practice (GDP). GDP regulates the movement of pharmaceutical products from the manufacturer, or another location like a storage facility, to the end user or to an intermediate point through various transport methods and storage facilities.

Many authorities and organisations set rules and regulations - like the European Union or the WHO. These guidelines include requirements for receiving, storage and transport of medicinal products.

Everything starts with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) which is that part of quality assurance which ensures that products are consistently produced and controlled to the quality standards appropriate to their intended use. The aim of GDP is to ensure that the level of quality determined by Good Manufacturing Practice is maintained throughout the distribution network, without any alteration of their properties. The training course on GDP is an awareness training course to build the understanding of the importance of GDP and to inform about the key principles.

The following topics are covered during the eLearning course:

  • Introduction to GDP
  • Transportation Requirements
  • Storage Requirements
